KURIBO  A bad mushroom that betrayed the Mushroom Kingdom. Just stomp on it and it disappears. | NOKO-NOKO (GREEN)  A soldier of the Turtle Empire. It will head in Mario's direction. Jumping on it will make it stop for a while. |
NOKO-NOKO (RED)  Has a timid personality. Walks back and forth restlessly. Jumping on it will make it stop for a while. | PAKKUN FLOWER  Man-eating plants that live in pipes. They stick their faces out quickly and without warning, so watch out! You cannot get rid of them by stomping. |
PATA-PATA (GREEN)  Has an aggressive attitude and will come hopping towards you. When stepped on, its wings will disappear. | PATA-PATA (RED)  Has a carefree attitude and lightly flutters in the sky. When stepped on, its wings will disappear. |
BUBBLE  Red-hot rock that blasts out of the fiery ponds inside the castles, protecting the Great Demon King. | PUKU-PUKU  Mostly found in water, but be careful because it can also leap into the air. While it's underwater, you cannot jump on top of it. |
GESSO  A guard that persistently chases Mario everywhere. You cannot get rid of them by stomping. | JUGEM  A mysterious turtle who pilots a cloud. He will pursue Mario while dropping Togezo eggs. |

METT  Quite durable, they cannot be defeated with a fireball. | KILLER  Chases after Mario slowly but persistently. You can defeat it by jumping onto it from above. |
HAMMER BROS.  Twin brothers who are very agile. They will toss hammers at you. | KOOPA  He's holding the princess captive in the final castle. Attacks by breathing fire. There are other ways to defeat him, but you only get points if you use fireballs. |
